The Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies completed a specialized field case study on "Associated Gas Flaring" and its environmental and economic impacts, under the supervision of Asst. Lect. Shahad Mahmoud Mohammed and with the active participation of the department's students from March 27th to 28th. The work included a field tour and technical documentation at an oil field in the southern region, in addition to conducting a community survey to measure awareness of the damages resulting from energy waste. This initiative sought to innovate sustainable solutions that support the national economy and align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to Clean Energy, Climate Action, and Responsible Production, contributing to the integration of academic outcomes with the practical realities of the energy sector in Iraq.
