The Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques at the College of Engineering Technology, Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness campaign for third-year students titled "The Role of Women in Sustainable Development" on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The event aimed to enhance community awareness of the importance of women as essential partners in building and developing society. The activity was supervised by Asst. Lect. Rusul Mohsin, Assistant Lecturer Suhad Abdul Amir, and Assistant Lecturer Fatima Ihsan. It focused on the necessity of empowering women across various fields and highlighted their pivotal role in enriching the development process and achieving social and economic stability within the university environment. The campaign featured a series of interactive activities and awareness presentations discussing ways to support sustainability values. The event saw outstanding engagement from students, reflecting their high level of awareness regarding the adoption of initiatives that contribute to developing academic thought and building a responsible university environment. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 5 (Gender Equality), striving to reinforce the university's leading role in supporting women's empowerment and establishing their status as active elements in achieving comprehensive development.
