The Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques at the College of Engineering Technology, Mustaqbal University, organized an extensive awareness campaign on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. This initiative, held in conjunction with the 4th Sustainability Week, aimed to highlight the risks of obesity and its negative impacts on human health. The campaign was supervised by Dr. Ziad Taha, Assistant Lecturer Hussein Mazin Mohammed, and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Abbas. It included scientific guidelines and raised awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy, balanced diet, thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle and the prevention of chronic diseases within the academic environment. The event saw significant engagement from attendees, focusing on building a more conscious and healthy community by adopting sustainable daily practices and transforming medical advice into practical behaviors that ensure the well-being of engineering staff and students. This initiative fulfills the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), reinforcing Mustaqbal University's role in knowledge production and the dissemination of a health culture that serves society with responsibility and efficiency.
