The Women’s Affairs Unit in the Intelligent Medical Systems Department, College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness campaign titled “Shape Your Future with Your Own Hands” on Sunday, April 12, 2026, held on campus with the participation of a number of female faculty members and students. The campaign was launched under the slogan: “Women’s Empowerment is the Foundation for Building a Sustainable Society,” aiming to تعزيز the role of women within the university community, develop their scientific and practical skills, and encourage them to innovate and shape their future with confidence and independence. The campaign included a variety of awareness and guidance activities, such as interactive dialogue sessions and educational lectures that highlighted the importance of developing women’s personal and professional skills. It also showcased inspiring success stories and influential female role models across various scientific and technological fields. The campaign witnessed remarkable engagement from the students through active participation in discussions and idea-sharing, reflecting their awareness of the importance of women’s empowerment and its role in achieving sustainable development within society. The Women’s Affairs Unit emphasized its commitment to organizing such initiatives that support women academically and professionally, and strengthen their active presence in different areas of life. This campaign comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support women’s empowerment issues and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5: Gender Equality. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
