As part of its awareness and educational activities aimed at developing students’ creative and design abilities, the Department of Architecture Engineering organized a workshop for first-year students entitled “How to Develop Your Creative Sense in Design.”
The workshop aimed to enhance students’ creative thinking skills and strengthen their ability to generate innovative design ideas by introducing methods for developing visual imagination and drawing inspiration from the surrounding environment to create applicable design concepts.
The workshop included a theoretical session that discussed the concept of creativity in architectural design and its importance in the design process, as well as various techniques and approaches that help foster creative thinking. This was followed by a practical session featuring exercises designed to encourage students to generate new ideas and transform them into preliminary design compositions and concepts.
The workshop contributed to developing students’ creative awareness and encouraged them to think beyond conventional approaches, enhancing their design skills and supporting their academic growth in the field of architecture.
