In line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to enhance the research and academic competencies of university leaders and faculty members, the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Haider Ali Al-Dulaimi, successfully completed the training course entitled “Selecting the Appropriate Journal and Verifying Its Academic Credibility,” which was delivered through the Eduba educational platform. The course aimed to develop researchers’ skills in identifying suitable academic journals for publishing their scholarly work and understanding the standards and criteria used to assess the credibility and quality of scientific journals while distinguishing reputable journals from non-reputable ones. This aligns with academic quality requirements and internationally recognized publishing standards. The training program covered several important topics, including methods for evaluating scientific journals and procedures for verifying their indexing in internationally recognized databases and impact indicators and citation metrics, as well as introducing modern electronic tools that assist researchers in making informed decisions when selecting appropriate publication outlets. This participation reflects the college deanship's commitment to keeping pace with rapid developments in scientific research and academic publishing while promoting a culture of quality and research excellence. Such efforts contribute to enhancing the College’s scientific output and strengthening its academic presence at both local and international scholarly forums.
