The College of Administrative Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an educational field visit for fourth-year students from the Departments of Business Administration and Accounting to the Men's Garment Factory in Najaf, in accordance with the administrative order issued by the College Deanship on 31 January 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen practical learning and bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world industrial practice. The students were accompanied by a number of faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Moayad Abdul Hussein Al-Fadhl, Prof. Dr. Amal Abdul Mohammed Ali, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Rasool Hani, and Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Fartousi. During the visit, students toured the factory's production departments, where they observed the various stages of the manufacturing process, beginning with design, pattern making, and tailoring, and continuing through production and marketing. They also attended a scientific lecture delivered by the Factory Director, Mr. Shaker Hamoud Al-Mihna, who discussed the current state of Iraq's national manufacturing sector, the challenges facing public industrial enterprises, and the administrative and strategic planning practices adopted in managing factory operations. In addition, the Marketing Director, Mr. Ahmed Al-Talqati, presented an overview of the factory's marketing strategies, highlighting approaches to enhancing the competitiveness of locally manufactured products and strengthening their position in the marketplace. His presentation provided valuable practical insights directly related to the fields of business administration and accounting. The visit also featured an interactive discussion between the students and the factory's management team, focusing on the major challenges associated with production and marketing processes. Students documented a range of observations and ideas that later supported the preparation of their research projects and graduation studies, further reinforcing the connection between theoretical learning and practical application. The visit concluded with a tour of the factory's commercial showroom, where students viewed a variety of ready-made men's garments. The exhibition reflected ongoing efforts to support domestic manufacturing and promote the consumption of locally produced goods. At the time, the College Deanship emphasized the importance of such educational visits in strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and productive sectors, while providing students with firsthand exposure to industrial operations and the challenges facing national industries.
