Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Saihood Al-Mayahi, a faculty member at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the proceedings of the Second International Conference on Cognitive Transformation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, held in Duhok Governorate on August 19–20, 2026, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and researchers from various universities and scientific institutions. Dr. Al-Mayahi participated by presenting his research paper entitled “The Impact of Folklore on the Poetry of Lamia Abbas Amara: Representations of the Past and Aspirations for the Future.” The study examined the presence and representations of folklore in the poetic experience of the renowned Iraqi poet Lamia Abbas Amara, highlighting the interaction between cultural heritage and visions of the future. The conference, held under the patronage of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, Rand Institute, and Al-Dhakawat Foundation, featured the presentation and discussion of a number of scientific studies and research papers addressing the rapid cognitive transformations taking place amid the growing development of artificial intelligence. The conference also explored future challenges, prospects for advancing scientific research, and opportunities for strengthening academic collaboration. Dr. Al-Mayahi’s participation reflects the College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to supporting its faculty members and researchers, encouraging academic and scientific productivity, and strengthening their presence at international conferences and scientific forums.
