As part of its commitment to keeping pace with rapid technological developments and advancing digital transformation and innovation, Al-Mustaqbal University participated in GITEX AI Türkiye 2026, held in Istanbul on September 9–10, 2026. The visit was conducted by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, on his return from an academic tour in Europe. The visit aimed to explore the latest global technologies and innovations in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and educational technology, while examining emerging applications that could be leveraged to enhance the University's educational and research environment in line with the evolving requirements of higher education and digital transformation. On the sidelines of the exhibition, the University President held a number of meetings with representatives of leading Turkish and international technology companies, as well as technology and innovation centers, including Teknopark Ankara and Antalya Teknokent. The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation, knowledge and expertise exchange, and the potential adoption of advanced technologies and smart solutions to support the educational process and enhance curricula and scientific laboratories. Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi emphasized that Al-Mustaqbal University's participation in international technology forums forms part of a strategic vision aimed at establishing high-quality partnerships, attracting advanced expertise and technologies, and opening new horizons for students and researchers. Such efforts contribute to enhancing their capacity to acquire future-oriented skills and meet the evolving requirements of the global labor market. He further noted that the University is placing increasing emphasis on integrating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies into education and scientific research, thereby reinforcing its position as an academic institution that supports innovation and digital transformation and strengthening its technological presence at both the Iraqi and regional levels.
