At the kind invitation of Dr. Sura Rashid Haroun, a specialist in the care of people with special needs, the College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the concluding ceremony celebrating the graduation of children with disabilities who had completed their rehabilitation and training programs. The ceremony was held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, to celebrate their achievements and the completion of their rehabilitation journey. The College was represented by Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul-Jabbar, Prof. Dr. Dakhel Nasser, and Mr. Al-Hassan Ali Rawdan, alongside a team from the Iraqi Innovators Union in Babylon and the National Team for Iraqi Women. This participation reflects the College of Education’s commitment to supporting community initiatives and projects aimed at rehabilitating children with disabilities, enhancing their abilities, and strengthening their active role in society. It is based on the belief in their full right to a dignified life, education, care, and meaningful participation in society, rather than viewing them through the lens of pity. The participation also highlighted the importance of raising awareness of the needs of families caring for children with disabilities and supporting their access to the services and rights guaranteed to them by law.
