The specialized training workshop on Erasmus+ programs and opportunities continued for its second consecutive day at Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop was organized by the European Union Delegation to Iraq in cooperation with the Department of International and Arab Organizations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of several public and private universities from the Middle Euphrates region. The second day opened with a speech by Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, representing Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University. He emphasized the importance of translating the outcomes of training into high-quality, implementable projects with tangible institutional and community impact. The second day featured discussions on several key topics, including: International Credit Mobility (ICM) and student exchange. Administrative and financial aspects of European-funded projects. Jean Monnet Actions and mechanisms for developing and submitting proposals. Successful experiences of Iraqi universities in obtaining European grants. University registration and strengthening institutional presence on European Union platforms. Mechanisms for developing competitive international projects and proposals. The sessions also witnessed extensive interaction among participants through questions, contributions, and specialized discussions. Trainees from Al-Mustaqbal University actively contributed to the dialogue through a number of interventions addressing mechanisms for participating in Erasmus+ programs and developing international projects. Al-Mustaqbal University’s hosting of this workshop is part of its commitment to the internationalization of higher education and strengthening international academic partnerships, while transforming training and international cooperation opportunities into practical projects that contribute to developing the capacities of Iraqi universities and expanding opportunities for students, researchers, and academics.
