Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic and environmental milestone by ranking first among Iraqi private universities and colleges and securing 148th place globally in the 2026 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, reflecting the University’s continued commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the development of a sustainable campus environment. The University ranked first among Iraqi private universities and colleges, third among all Iraqi universities, both public and private, and 82nd in Asia, with a total score of 8,475 points. The achievement came within a global competition involving 2,016 universities from 110 countries worldwide. This advancement reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s continued efforts to implement sustainability programs and initiatives across key areas assessed by the ranking, including setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water resources, sustainable transportation, education and research, as well as governance and digital transformation. The achievement further reinforces Al-Mustaqbal University’s institutional commitment to sustainability and innovation, strengthening its presence in global university rankings and supporting its vision of developing a leading sustainable campus and enhancing its academic standing both locally and internationally.
