Aeronautical Engineering Technologies represent one of the vital engineering disciplines that combine scientific knowledge with practical and technical applications related to aircraft and their various systems. This specialization focuses on the study, operation, and maintenance of aircraft engines, structures, and mechanical and electrical systems, contributing to improved performance efficiency and enhanced levels of safety and reliability. This specialization is based on a range of fundamental engineering sciences, including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, materials science, and control systems. The integration of these fields enables students to understand how aircraft and their engines operate, analyze their performance, diagnose technical faults, and develop solutions that contribute to improving the efficiency of various systems. At the practical level, students acquire specialized skills in inspecting aircraft components, performing maintenance procedures, analyzing and diagnosing faults, and using measurement and inspection equipment. They also gain experience in dealing with modern engine technologies and advanced systems, preparing them for careers in aircraft maintenance, technical services, and engineering support. With the rapid technological development of the aviation sector, modern technologies such as predictive maintenance, engineering simulation, data analysis, and unmanned aerial vehicles have emerged as important components of the future of this specialization. Employing these technologies contributes to developing students’ capabilities and enhancing their readiness to keep pace with the accelerating technological transformations in the aviation industry. The growing emphasis on Aeronautical Engineering Technologies reflects the commitment of Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, to supporting modern engineering and technological disciplines. This approach aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, while contributing to the preparation of qualified engineering professionals capable of serving society and advancing scientific and technological development.
