The College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University has concluded its departmental football championship, which witnessed active participation by the Civil Engineering Department. The tournament was held in a competitive sporting atmosphere that reflected the spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and positive competition among students from the various engineering departments. Both Civil Engineering teams delivered impressive performances throughout the tournament. The first team secured a 4–0 victory over the Biomedical Engineering Department, while the second team defeated the Prosthetics Engineering Department 1–0. In the semi-final round, the first team advanced after achieving a 3–0 victory over the Architectural Engineering Department, while the second team lost 2–1 to the Chemical Engineering Department. The final featured an exciting match between the first team of the Civil Engineering Department and the Chemical Engineering Department. Both teams demonstrated a high level of sporting performance and competitive spirit. The match ended with a 3–1 victory for the Chemical Engineering Department, which claimed the championship title, while the Civil Engineering Department secured second place. At the conclusion of the tournament, trophies and awards were presented to the winning teams and outstanding players in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs; Dr. Ali Kamil Kareem, Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering for Scientific Affairs; and Assistant Professor Dr. Mayada Waheed Falah, Head of the Civil Engineering Department. The ceremony included the presentation of the championship trophy to the winning team and an honorary trophy to the runner-up, in addition to recognizing the Best Player from the Chemical Engineering Department and the Best Goalkeeper from the Civil Engineering Department. The distinguished participation of the Civil Engineering Department highlights its commitment to supporting student and sporting activities, which play an important role in promoting positive competition, developing teamwork skills, strengthening relationships among students from different engineering departments, and showcasing their talents and abilities.
