The Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a conference entitled “Civil Engineering: From Blueprint to Reality,” hosted by Assistant Professor Dr. Mayada Waheed Falah, Head of the Civil Engineering Department. The conference aimed to highlight the importance of civil engineering in developing infrastructure and transforming engineering designs into practical projects that meet society’s needs. The conference addressed the major fields of civil engineering, including structural design, roads and bridges, hydraulic structures, geotechnical engineering, and project management. It also highlighted the role of these disciplines in implementing engineering projects while enhancing their safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Furthermore, the conference explored the career opportunities available to civil engineering graduates in design, construction, engineering supervision, quality control, and consultancy. It emphasized the importance of integrating academic knowledge with practical experience and keeping pace with technological advancements in modern engineering practices. This conference reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to promote engineering awareness, enhance understanding of professional requirements, and prepare qualified engineering professionals capable of serving society and supporting reconstruction and sustainable development.
