Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and with the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, the College continues to foster a university environment that supports creativity, innovation, and digital transformation. It does so by supporting outstanding student initiatives and turning technical ideas into practical solutions that serve students and faculty and enhance the educational process. In a notable student achievement, Abdullah Hussein, a second-year student in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Engineering, developed an integrated educational platform called OLVA. The platform brings together key academic services in one smart digital environment, helping students save time and effort and manage their studies more effectively. The platform was designed as a more organized and effective alternative to scattered information, announcements, and files across different Telegram channels. It enables students to access lecture schedules, assignments, results and grade calculations, lecture materials, academic news and announcements, interactive learning tools, and a smart assistant that answers study-related questions. It also includes a dedicated section for developing English-language skills. OLVA also supports faculty members through features for managing grades, tracking attendance and absences, sharing announcements, and organizing academic communication. It also includes a QR-code attendance system, helping make procedures faster and more accurate and creating a more integrated environment for students and faculty. The platform allows content to be customized by university, college, department, academic year, and section, giving it significant potential for future expansion and development. Work is underway to extend it to other academic years and departments within the College of Engineering, with the longer-term goal of serving students across Al-Mustaqbal University and other universities. This development will be coordinated with class representatives and students to identify their needs and add the most useful services. This achievement demonstrates how College of Engineering students can create digital solutions inspired by the needs of their own university community. It also shows that support for student innovation can lead beyond theoretical ideas to practical technology projects that can be further developed, expanded, and used across the academic community. The initiative aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s and the College of Engineering’s commitment to digital transformation, innovation, and student-led ideas. It contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education and Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. Al-Mustaqbal University The First University in Iraq
