Successful architecture begins with understanding the site before shaping its design. In this context, the Department of Architectural Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Site Analysis Before Architectural Design,” in line with the vision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi. The workshop addressed site analysis as the starting point of every architectural project, focusing on examining the site’s natural, urban, and climatic characteristics. It also explored the analysis of sun paths, prevailing wind directions, circulation routes, and access points, highlighting how these factors can be incorporated into well-informed architectural design decisions. The workshop reflects the College’s commitment to developing students’ analytical and creative thinking skills and preparing engineers capable of transforming site characteristics into architectural solutions that consider both human needs and environmental conditions. This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). Al-Mustaqbal University The First University in Iraq
