Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Arts and Humanities, Assistant Professor Dr. Maytham Abd Al-Khidr Jabbar, organized a scientific workshop titled "The Hindi Dam and Water Sustainability in Babylon Province," on Saturday, October 24, 2026. This initiative is part of the college's commitment to environmental and water issues, highlighting the importance of water resources in achieving sustainable development. The workshop discussed the water and environmental importance of the Hindi Dam and its role in regulating water resources in Babylon Province. It also addressed challenges related to water management and ways to preserve this vital resource, thereby contributing to raising awareness about the importance of water sustainability and the conservation of natural resources. This workshop aligns with the college's direction towards supporting scientific and cultural activities that contribute to addressing societal and environmental issues and enhancing the university's role in disseminating scientific awareness about sustainable development issues.
