The Department of Architectural Engineering held a workshop entitled “Architectural Drawing and Sketching” aimed at developing students’ artistic and creative skills and enhancing their ability to express architectural ideas and concepts through freehand drawing and sketching. The workshop also sought to develop students’ observation skills and their understanding of architectural proportions, dimensions, masses, and spaces, thereby improving their design abilities and supporting the processes of architectural thinking and creativity. Furthermore, the workshop included practical exercises that provided students with the opportunity to practice architectural drawing, develop their techniques for visually representing design ideas, enhance their innovation and spatial visualization skills, and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in architectural engineering. This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by developing students’ artistic and design skills and promoting practical and creative learning, and Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by encouraging innovation and developing design thinking and visualization skills in the field of architecture.
