Medical technology has witnessed remarkable advancements with the emergence of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), which represents one of the modern approaches to integrating medical devices with digital technologies and communication networks. This concept enables medical devices and equipment to connect to the Internet to collect, transmit, and analyze healthcare data continuously. Applications of the Internet of Medical Things include heart rate monitoring devices, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, oxygen saturation monitors, and wearable medical devices such as smartwatches and medical bracelets. These devices collect patients' vital signs and transmit them to digital applications or platforms, allowing healthcare professionals to monitor their health conditions. One of the most important benefits of this technology is its ability to support remote patient monitoring, particularly for individuals with chronic diseases. This helps reduce the need for frequent hospital visits and improves the continuity of healthcare services. Furthermore, the collected data can be integrated with artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze vital signs and detect abnormal changes that may require medical attention. These systems also contribute to the development of smart hospitals by connecting medical devices to healthcare information management systems, improving resource and equipment management, and providing data that supports medical professionals in making more accurate decisions. However, the Internet of Medical Things faces several challenges related to data security, patient privacy, connectivity, and compatibility between different devices. Therefore, its implementation requires secure communication protocols, encryption mechanisms, and continuous monitoring. The Internet of Medical Things represents an important step toward building an integrated digital healthcare system that combines smart devices, communication technologies, and artificial intelligence to deliver more efficient and accurate medical services.
