As part of its efforts to enhance the practical skills of students in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Future University, **Lecturer Maryam Mohammed Musa** conducted a practical workshop entitled **"Reading Architectural Staircase Drawings and Construction Details."** The workshop aimed to develop students' abilities to understand and analyze architectural and construction drawings related to staircases, and to familiarize them with the fundamental design principles and engineering and functional requirements. The workshop included a practical explanation of how to read staircase floor plans and vertical sections, interpret dimensions and levels, determine riser heights and tread widths, and identify staircase widths and overall dimensions. It also covered the connection details between steps, landings, and associated structural elements. Furthermore, the workshop focused on the process of translating architectural drawings into detailed construction drawings, enabling students to connect design concepts with actual construction requirements and improve their accuracy in preparing engineering drawings. This activity is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), through promoting practical learning and developing engineering skills; Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), by enhancing technical and design capabilities; and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), through reinforcing the principles of safe and functional design in the built environment. **Al-Mustaqbal University – Ranked First Among Private Universities in Iraq.**
