As part of the Department of Architectural Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to develop students’ intellectual and creative skills and enhance their ability to address design challenges, the department is organizing a scientific workshop entitled “Design Thinking in Architecture: Analyzing Design Problems and Innovating Architectural Solutions,” with the participation of the department’s students. The workshop aims to highlight the importance of design thinking as a fundamental approach to the architectural design process. It seeks to train students in analyzing design problems, understanding users’ needs, and examining site requirements, functionality, and the surrounding environment, ultimately leading to innovative architectural solutions characterized by creativity, efficiency, and sustainability. The workshop also includes an interactive and practical component, allowing students to discuss various design challenges, present ideas and proposals, and work towards developing innovative solutions that reflect their abilities in critical thinking, architectural analysis, and design communication. This workshop is part of the Department of Architectural Engineering at Future University’s commitment to fostering an interactive learning environment that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application and contributes to preparing a new generation of architects capable of keeping pace with professional requirements and future challenges.
