The English Department at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized workshop today, Sunday, April 5, 2026, titled "Analyzing the Anglo-Saxon Epic: The Poem of Beowulf," presented by the lecturer Asst. Lect. Zainab Karim. The workshop offered an in-depth study of the epic, which is a cornerstone of Old English literature. Asst. Lect. Zainab Karim highlighted the artistic and linguistic characteristics of the poem, analyzing the hero's character and legendary struggle, along with the cultural and historical symbols reflected in that era. The workshop saw active participation from students and faculty, including scientific discussions on the influence of these classic works on the development of language and literature. This workshop is part of the department's ongoing scientific activities to enhance students' academic skills and broaden their understanding of world literary texts, contributing to the cultural and literary awareness within the university.
