As part of the 4th Annual Sustainability Week, the English Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a joint interactive workshop on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, titled: "Collective Delusion: Are We Trading Brains for Bots?" The workshop was presented by Dr. Mamoun Sami and Lecturer Ms. Rafal Abbas. The event highlighted the phenomenon of "Collective Delusion" in the digital age and the extent to which over-reliance on Artificial Intelligence and bots affects human cognitive and analytical abilities. The session discussed the ethical and cognitive challenges facing the academic community amidst rapid technological advancement, and how to maintain a balance between leveraging technology and protecting human intellectual identity. The workshop witnessed great interaction from the attendees, who praised the discussion of this vital topic that lies at the heart of sustainable development by preserving the "human element" and developing critical thinking skills to confront digital misinformation.
