The English Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized workshop titled "SUFFERING" on Sunday , April 12, 2026, as part of the scientific activities for the 4th Annual Sustainability Week. The workshop was conducted and presented by lecturer Ms. Zainab Karim, in collaboration with second-stage student Muntadher Laith. The session focused on the concept of human suffering and its representation in literary texts, analyzing its psychological and social dimensions and its impact on shaping human consciousness. The event featured a distinguished interaction through the joint presentation between the professor and the student, reflecting the department's approach to empowering students and involving them in academic and research activities. The department leadership praised this fruitful cooperation, emphasizing that discussing such profound human issues contributes to building a generation of students capable of critical analysis and understanding social issues from a solid literary perspective.
