An awareness campaign on the risks of using links from untrusted sources was launched at Al-Mustaqbal University on April 13, 2026, with the participation of students from the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department. The campaign aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the dangers of suspicious links that may lead to device compromise and personal data theft, while also explaining social engineering techniques and methods for verifying the authenticity of links before interacting with them. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), by promoting digital safety culture and reducing cyber threats. The initiative reflects the efforts of the Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies Department in raising cybersecurity awareness and underscores the leadership of Al-Mustaqbal University as the leading private university in Iraq in adopting impactful scientific initiatives.
