In the medical field, a digital twin can represent a virtual version of a patient’s organs, allowing treatments to be simulated before actual implementation. This gives surgeons the opportunity to test optimal surgical approaches, understand potential risks, and determine the most effective treatment strategies, thereby reducing errors and increasing success rates.
At the hospital level, digital twins can be used to model patient flow, equipment operation, and resource consumption. This allows healthcare institutions to optimize performance and anticipate health crises before they occur.
