Al-Mustaqbal University concluded the activities of the First Scientific Forum for Medical Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, which was held as part of a series of scientific events aimed at developing the skills of students and specialists in the field of medical rehabilitation and physiotherapy. The forum took place on 19 April 2026 in the designated halls of the Medical Building on the university campus, with the presence of a distinguished group of professors, students, and specialists. The second day’s activities included an intensive scientific and practical program, featuring specialized lectures and hands-on workshops, in addition to presentations of the latest therapeutic technologies used in neurorehabilitation and motor rehabilitation. The activities began with a lecture delivered by Dr. Zaid Saad Abdul Madi, a specialist in orthopaedic surgery and fractures (microsurgical orthopaedic surgery), entitled “Introduction to Rehabilitation.” He emphasized the importance of physiotherapy and its significant role in treatment and recovery. Dr. Rana Balout, a physiotherapy specialist from Al-Sibtain University, also delivered a lecture entitled “Rehabilitation after Stroke,” in which she presented the latest approaches to rehabilitating stroke patients and highlighted the importance of early intervention in improving motor function and treatment outcomes. The event also included hands-on training sessions, where participants had the opportunity to apply the acquired skills in practice. This included demonstrations of advanced technologies such as robotic gloves (Anika Gloves) under the theme “Robotic Hand Rehabilitation for Stroke and Neurological Patients,” which are used in the rehabilitation of patients with stroke and various neurological conditions. The forum aimed, through these activities, to enhance the practical skills of students, raise the level of scientific and practical competence, and keep pace with recent developments in physiotherapy techniques. At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed their appreciation for the level of organization and the scientific content presented, stressing the importance of continuing such forums in supporting education and training in the health field.
