Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day, the Office of Scientific and Academic Supervision, in cooperation with the Department of Cultural Relations, organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled “Iraqi Patents: Figures and Indicators.” The seminar was held on Saturday, 25 April 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the Student Activities Hall at the Medical Building within the university campus of Al-Mustaqbal University. The seminar aimed to highlight the status of patents in Iraq by presenting key figures and indicators, as well as discussing the challenges and opportunities related to the development of the innovation system. It also came within the context of promoting awareness of intellectual property and emphasizing its vital role in protecting creativity and supporting sustainable development, thereby encouraging researchers and innovators to transform their ideas into practical achievements that serve society. The event was held under the slogan “Intellectual Property and Sports: Get Ready, Set, Innovate,” and an open invitation was extended to faculty members, students, and all interested participants to attend and engage, with attendance available directly at the venue.
