Within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s strategy to expand international cooperation, Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, continues to maintain its active presence on the global academic stage. This comes through the participation of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, in a high-level ministerial delegation on an extensive academic visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahad. The visit aimed to strengthen scientific cooperation and activate academic partnerships between educational institutions in Iraq and Egypt, contributing to the development of higher education systems and the advancement of scientific research. The delegation’s program included a series of meetings and discussions with several leading universities and academic institutions, most notably Al-Azhar University, where prospects for joint cooperation and the exchange of academic and research expertise were explored. The visit also included follow-up on joint postgraduate programs with Mansoura University, where the delegation praised the successful collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University and Mansoura University in the Master’s program in Law, describing it as a pioneering model of effective academic partnership between the two countries. Emphasis was placed on further developing these programs, expanding them into modern and specialized disciplines, and overcoming challenges faced by researchers. The delegation also held extensive meetings at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, discussing mechanisms for mutual recognition of academic qualifications, activation of academic twinning programs, and support for initiatives aimed at improving the global ranking of universities in international indices. As part of efforts to support international scientific publishing, the delegation visited the regional office of ELSEVIER, where they were introduced to the latest artificial intelligence technologies in scientific publishing and discussed ways to enhance the global visibility of Iraqi research in international databases. The visit further included an overview of advanced digital transformation experiences at Mansoura University, through a specialized information and communication technology company, which presented a leading model in supporting technological infrastructure for educational and healthcare institutions. The President of Al-Mustaqbal University affirmed that this participation reflects the university’s commitment to implementing global quality standards and strengthening strategic partnerships with prestigious academic institutions, in support of its journey toward leadership and excellence. This step comes as part of a series of initiatives that highlight the leading position of Al-Mustaqbal University among private universities in Iraq .
