President of Participates in Iraqi Ministerial Delegation Visit to Egypt to Strengthen Academic Cooperation and International Research Partnerships The President of , Prof. , participated as part of a high-level Iraqi ministerial delegation in an extensive academic visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. . The visit aimed to enhance scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries. The visit, conducted on April 22, 2026, sought to activate memoranda of understanding, expand research partnerships, develop joint postgraduate programs, and improve the quality of scientific research in line with international standards. The delegation visited several prominent academic institutions, including , where official meetings were held with the university presidency to discuss prospects for academic integration and knowledge exchange, contributing to the advancement of education in both Iraq and Egypt. The visit also included follow-up on joint postgraduate programs with . The delegation praised the successful Master’s program in Law hosted by Mansoura University at as a leading model of academic cooperation, emphasizing the importance of expanding modern specializations and overcoming challenges faced by researchers. At the institutional level, the delegation held extensive meetings at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where discussions focused on mutual degree recognition, academic twinning programs, and enhancing university rankings in global classifications. As part of strengthening international scientific publishing, the delegation met with the regional office of Elsevier, where they reviewed the latest AI-based scientific publishing technologies and explored ways to increase the visibility of Iraqi research in global platforms. The visit also included a tour of “Intilaq” Information and Communication Technology Company at Mansoura University, where the delegation reviewed digital transformation practices and technological infrastructure development in educational and healthcare institutions, which were widely praised as an advanced model supporting education and academic services. On his part, the President of expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, praising the leadership role of the Deputy Minister in supporting this scientific momentum. He emphasized that the university’s participation reflects its commitment to global quality standards and the development of an advanced academic and research environment through international partnerships.
