A distinctive awareness activity was carried out as part of the events of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries, represented by a roll-up display titled “Chemical Pollution.” The activity was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Russul Ahmed Hashem and presented during Sustainability Week at Al-Mustaqbal University within the department’s booth.
The activity aimed to raise awareness among students and the community about the dangers of chemical pollution and its negative impacts on the environment and human health. It also highlighted the importance of reducing chemical pollutants and adopting proper behaviors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
In addition, the activity focused on enhancing students’ sense of environmental responsibility and encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices that contribute to protecting natural resources and preserving the planet for future generations. The exhibition witnessed notable engagement from visitors, who showed interest in the awareness content and the valuable environmental information and guidance it provided.
This activity is part of a series of initiatives organized by the department to support sustainability concepts and strengthen the role of academic institutions in promoting environmental awareness.
