Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Qualitative Workshop in Cooperation with Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) on Digital Fraud and Financial Inclusion

The Presidency Hall of Al-Mustaqbal University hosted a specialized workshop titled "Financial Inclusion and Electronic Card Fraud" on Saturday morning, April 25, 2026. The event was organized in cooperation with the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI), under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, and the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, Professor Dr. Mundhir Fadhil Hasan. The workshop witnessed a remarkable attendance of administrative and financial leaders, led by Mr. Amir Fouad Al-Khuzai, Manager of TBI - Babil Branch, Mr. Haider Hakim Al-Bahrani, Head of the Financial Affairs Division, and Mr. Zaid Nahidh Mahfouz, alongside a large gathering of university staff and employees interested in financial security and digital transformation. The workshop focused on enhancing financial culture through fundamental pillars. The lecturers reviewed the concept of financial inclusion and its importance in supporting the national economy, while highlighting the latest fraud methods targeting bank card users. Practical protection guidelines were provided to identify phishing links and fake messages, supported by visual models and illustrative videos depicting realistic fraud scenarios and how to respond intelligently. In a practical step to strengthen the partnership, the Trade Bank of Iraq announced the possibility of issuing free bank cards to the attendees and interested university staff, in line with efforts to expand the financial inclusion base. The event concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates and honoring the participants, amidst wide praise for Al-Mustaqbal University's efforts in providing a secure environment that keeps pace with global digital transformation and ensures the financial protection of its personnel.
