Students from the Department of Aesthetic and Laser Techniques, under the supervision of the department’s staff, presented an awareness model illustrating the mechanism of tattoo removal using laser technology. This activity took place as part of Sustainability Week events held at the College of Health and Medical Technologies. It aimed to strengthen the practical skills of students and bridge theoretical knowledge with hands-on application. The project involved the preparation of a comprehensive educational model demonstrating the stages of tattoo removal. Students explained the components of the model and the working principles of laser devices in a simplified manner suitable for various audiences. They also clarified the effects of laser on skin layers and how tattoo pigments are gradually and safely broken down, while engaging with attendees by answering questions and encouraging discussion to enhance understanding. This activity aims to promote health awareness and encourage the safe and responsible use of laser technologies in cosmetic applications, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. It also reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to supporting scientific and awareness initiatives, as well as developing students’ practical and professional skills.
