Wearable medical devices have brought about a true revolution in patient monitoring, shifting healthcare from hospitals and clinics to continuous tracking within patients’ everyday environments. These devices include smartwatches, monitoring bands, biosensors, and internet-connected measuring tools that continuously track vital signs such as heart rate, oxygen levels, sleep quality, physical activity, and even glucose levels for diabetic patients. What distinguishes these devices is their ability to transmit data directly to intelligent medical systems, allowing physicians to monitor patients’ conditions in real time and intervene quickly when abnormal changes occur. This transformation represents a significant leap in healthcare, enabling proactive care instead of the traditional model that relies on hospital visits after problems arise. Additionally, wearable devices contribute to improving patients’ quality of life by providing a constant sense of safety, reducing unnecessary medical visits, and easing the burden on hospitals. Big data analytics and artificial intelligence technologies further enhance the value of this data by identifying health patterns, predicting diseases, and personalizing treatment plans tailored to each individual’s condition. With ongoing advancements, these devices are expected to become a fundamental pillar of modern medicine and a vital support for patient-centered healthcare.
