Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, organized an in-person seminar on the occasion of “International Workers’ Day” titled “The Role of Working Women in Advancing Society Using Artificial Intelligence Technology,” under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, and under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, Dean of the Engineering Technical College, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, on Monday, 04/05/2026, at the Central Student Activities Hall.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Zahraa Hashim and addressed the importance of empowering working women and strengthening their role in community development through the use of artificial intelligence technologies in educational and professional fields. It also highlighted the role of modern technology in supporting creativity, innovation, and sustainable development.
The seminar witnessed distinguished attendance from faculty members and students, along with positive interaction reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting and empowering women academically and professionally, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 “Gender Equality” and Goal 9 “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.”
This seminar was held within the framework of the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), especially the participation and institutional reform pillar, through supporting women’s academic and awareness-raising roles and strengthening their presence in the fields of education, technology, and innovation.
