“Sustainability in the dental industry: Towards environmentally friendly dental laboratories.”

As part of the 4th Future Sustainability Week, the Department of Dental Technology at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Future University, organized a scientific seminar entitled: “Sustainability in Dentistry: Towards Environmentally Friendly Dental Laboratories.” The seminar addressed the importance of implementing sustainability concepts within dental laboratories by reducing material waste and adopting modern technologies that contribute to environmental preservation and improved work efficiency. It also discussed the importance of recycling certain materials and reducing energy consumption, as well as utilizing modern digital technologies that help minimize pollution and achieve a more sustainable work environment. The seminar also highlighted the role of faculty and students in disseminating environmental awareness within health and educational institutions and encouraging environmentally friendly practices in dental technology, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. The seminar witnessed significant interaction from attendees due to its scientific and educational themes, which contribute to strengthening the concept of sustainability and linking it to modern developments in dentistry and dental technology.
