Al-Mustaqbal University actively participated in the First Scientific Conference for Addressing Unemployment and Poverty in Iraq 2026. Held through a partnership between the Ministries of Higher Education and Planning under the theme "Integration of Knowledge and Policies Toward Fair and Sustainable Solutions Creating Impact," the conference was attended by the Acting Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Hello Al-Askari, the Minister of Planning, Dr. Khalid Battal Al-Najm, and an elite group of academics and representatives of international organizations. Al-Mustaqbal University delegation included the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, representing the University President, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, accompanied by the Director of Cultural Relations, Dr. Samir Badrawi, Assistant Professor Dr. Mundhir Samin, and the Head of the Sustainability Division, Engineer Khalid Kadhim Al-Salihi. During the scientific sessions, Professor Dr. Mudhafar Al-Zuhairy participated in a dialogue session, presenting a working paper that analyzed the role of universities in confronting unemployment through educational development and skills training. During the conference, the university showcased its pioneering experience in bridging the gap between educational outcomes and labor market requirements through the strategic partnerships of the Industrial Advisory Board. It also highlighted its continuous efforts to create new job opportunities aligning with the knowledge economy, ensuring the preparation of highly competent graduates capable of facing future challenges.
