Student Fatima Murad Kazem Al-Bakri, a first-year student in the Civil Engineering Department, participated with a distinguished scientific project entitled “Converting Waste into a Source of Electrical Energy.” In this project, she presented a practical model demonstrating the possibility of utilizing waste materials and discarded resources to generate electricity in an environmentally friendly manner. The project shows a strong scientific awareness of using engineering solutions to address environmental challenges and turn them into resources with economic and developmental value, promoting sustainability and environmental protection. It also highlights the students’ orientation toward applied scientific research and innovation in developing practical solutions to contemporary challenges. This achievement supports the realization of Goal 3: Promoting a Culture of Applied Scientific Research and Engineering Innovation, by encouraging students to develop creative ideas that contribute to building a more sustainable future and improving the efficient use of resources.
