Civil Defense in Babylon conducts a comprehensive “emergency simulation” exercise at Al-Mustaqbal Teaching Hospital in the presence of high-ranking security and government officials.

Al-Mustaqbal University hosted a large-scale specialized field exercise at Al-Mustaqbal Teaching Hospital, conducted by the Babil Civil Defense Directorate as part of its plans to enhance preparedness and rapid response to emergencies, and in accordance with the directives of the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Mohsen Kadhim Alak. The exercise was held under the direct supervision of the Director of Babil Civil Defense, Brigadier General Asaad Mubarak Mohammed, and was attended by high-ranking officials and security personnel from Baghdad and Babil Governorate, as well as representatives from relevant governmental and security agencies. The exercise was also attended by Professor Dr. Munther Fadhil, Administrative Assistant to the University President, the Director of the University's Office, the First Deputy Governor of Babil, Alaa Al-Araji, the Head of the Security Committee in Babil Governorate, Muhannad Al-Anzi, the Babil Police Chief, Major General Abbas Al-Zarkani, representatives from the Administrative and Professional Inspection Authority of the Ministry of Interior, and Major General Salam Al-Awadi, Director of Babil Traffic. The exercise plan included a realistic simulation of several complex scenarios, encompassing the rapid response of civil defense teams in controlling fires, evacuating those trapped, and addressing technical and structural obstacles during incidents. The CBRN (Chemical, Biological, and Radiological) team also participated, ensuring the protection of healthcare facilities and preventing contamination. This exercise is part of ongoing efforts to enhance coordination among security, health, and academic institutions, and to raise the level of preparedness for various emergencies, in line with modern safety standards and reflecting a high level of institutional cooperation.
