The Department of Communication Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University organized on 12/4/2026 an awareness activity represented by distributing educational brochures within the department corridors, aiming to spread health awareness among students regarding the harms of smoking and to promote positive behaviors within the university environment. The brochures included information about the health risks of smoking, such as its negative impact on the respiratory system and heart, and the increased likelihood of developing chronic diseases, in addition to emphasizing the importance of avoiding this harmful habit and reducing passive smoking within society. The activity was carried out by Hiba Ali Khazal, M.M. Hassenin Alaa Mohammed, M.M. Abbas Yaseen, and M.M. Mustafa Mohammed Shattab, who contributed to organizing the distribution process, communicating with students, and explaining the objectives of the awareness campaign. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Well-being) and reflects the efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University, the first among private universities in Iraq, in supporting awareness and health activities within the campus.
