Al-Mustaqbal Teaching Hospital hosted a large-scale, specialized field exercise for Civil Defense teams, conducted under the directives of the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Mohsen Kadhim Alak, aimed at enhancing preparedness and improving rapid response capabilities to emergencies. The Babylon Civil Defense Directorate carried out the exercise under the direct supervision of its director, Brigadier General Asaad Mubarak Mohammed, with broad participation from security and government agencies. Representatives from Al-Mustaqbal University attended the event, led by Professor Dr. Munther Fadhil, the university president's administrative assistant, along with the director of the university's administrative affairs department. Also present were the First Deputy Governor of Babylon, Alaa Al-Araji; the head of the provincial security committee, Muhannad Al-Anzi; the Babylon Police Chief, Major General Abbas Al-Zarkani; representatives from the Administrative and Professional Inspection Authority of the Ministry of Interior; and the Babylon Traffic Director, Major General Salam Al-Awadi. The exercise included realistic simulations of several complex scenarios, testing the response speed of civil defense teams in controlling fires, evacuating trapped individuals, and addressing technical and structural challenges during incidents. The CBRN team also participated, conducting specialized operations to manage chemical, biological, and radiological hazards, ensuring the protection of healthcare facilities from potential contamination. This exercise is part of ongoing efforts to enhance coordination between security and health institutions and improve preparedness for various emergencies, ensuring the safety of citizens and the protection of vital infrastructure.
