Ministerial Committee Visits the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, to Assess Readiness for the 2025–2026 Academic Year

The Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, welcomed the ministerial committee assigned to evaluate the department’s readiness for the 2025–2026 on May 2026 academic year, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of engineering education and fulfill modern academic requirements. The committee was received by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, along with the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and the academic and administrative staff. During the visit, the committee conducted a comprehensive field tour to review the department’s infrastructure and educational and technical facilities. The visit included a review of the academic curricula and study plans adopted by the Department of Civil Engineering, ensuring their alignment with contemporary engineering education standards and labor market demands. The committee also inspected the engineering laboratories, classrooms, and specialized workshops to evaluate their readiness in supporting students’ practical and applied learning experiences. In addition, the committee reviewed the quality assurance procedures, academic and administrative documentation, and examination committees to ensure compliance with the approved ministerial standards and regulations. The committee commended the efforts of the College of Engineering administration, the Department of Civil Engineering, and the supporting staff in providing an advanced educational environment that contributes to preparing qualified engineers capable of meeting the demands of infrastructure projects and sustainable urban development. This visit reflects the commitment of Al-Mustaqbal University to advancing academic and engineering education quality and achieving technical and academic readiness in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
