Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abdul Kadhim Abdul,
and under the supervision of the Scientific Assistant Dean, Prof. Dr. Tahani Jawad Mohammed Ali,
the College of Agricultural Technologies organized a field awareness campaign on the occasion of the “International Day of Plant Health,” which included the distribution of educational brochures to students and university staff members. The campaign aimed to spread awareness about the importance of plant health and its vital role in protecting the environment, achieving food security, and supporting sustainable development.
The brochures highlighted major plant diseases and pests, methods of prevention, and the importance of preserving plants and green spaces due to their direct impact on enhancing human health and improving environmental quality. The campaign also emphasized the importance of adopting modern and safe agricultural practices to reduce environmental pollution and limit the random use of chemical pesticides.
The event witnessed positive interaction from students and participants, reflecting the college’s commitment to promoting environmental culture and raising community awareness regarding agricultural and health-related issues, in line with the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University in supporting scientific and awareness activities and serving the community.
This campaign comes ضمن a series of academic and educational activities organized by the college to strengthen the concepts of environmental sustainability and social responsibility among students.
