Engineering geology plays a fundamental role in civil engineering, as it focuses on studying the nature of soil, rocks, and the geological conditions of a site before the implementation of engineering projects. This helps in selecting suitable foundations, reducing engineering risks, and ensuring the safety and sustainability of structures. Based on the importance of this field, students of the Civil Engineering Department presented a scientific activity on Tuesday, 19/5/2026, which included the preparation of an educational and scientific poster about the role of engineering geology in civil engineering. The activity was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Saif Salam Saud, with the aim of enhancing students’ scientific knowledge and highlighting the importance of engineering geology in the success of various civil engineering projects.
