Digital transformation and rapid technological innovation have led to the emergence of the concept of “virtual offices,” where employees no longer need to be physically present in the workplace to perform their tasks. These offices provide a fully integrated digital environment that enables collaboration, meetings, and file sharing the internet, opening new horizons for work organization. Virtual offices contribute to reducing operational costs for institutions and minimizing the need for office spaces. They also help reduce the carbon footprint by decreasing daily commuting. On an individual level, they offer the flexibility to work from anywhere and improve the balance between personal and professional life, which increases employee satisfaction and productivity. However, this model is not without challenges, such as maintaining effective communication, managing time efficiently, and ensuring information security. Some individuals may also miss the sense of belonging and collaboration typically provided by traditional work environments. Therefore, the future is expected to move toward a hybrid model that combines both virtual and traditional offices. This shift requires the development of digital skills among employees and the modernization of management and monitoring policies. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
