A specialized course on Cybersecurity Fundamentals was held at Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, on 20 May 2026. The course was delivered by Mr. Yasser Amer, a cybersecurity specialist, as part of the university’s efforts to enhance the scientific and technical skills of first-year students. The course covered network fundamentals as a key component of cybersecurity, providing participants with an introduction to basic networking concepts and their role in protecting systems and data from cyber threats. The course aimed to raise awareness among first-year students about the principles of cybersecurity and to develop their technical knowledge and skills, helping them prepare for the labor market and strengthen their professional competencies after graduation.
