As part of the scientific activities of the Department of Architecture, a scientific workshop was organized for first-year students entitled “Does Artificial Intelligence Kill Architectural Creativity?” The workshop aimed to enhance students’ technological awareness and explore the impact of emerging technologies on the future of architectural design. The workshop introduced the concept of artificial intelligence and its growing applications in architecture and design, highlighting its role in supporting analysis, visualization, and architectural presentation processes, as well as improving efficiency and productivity. The event also featured academic discussions on the relationship between artificial intelligence and architectural creativity, examining whether reliance on digital tools enhances or limits designers’ creative abilities. Emphasis was placed on preserving the importance of human thinking, imagination, and innovation within the design process. The workshop concluded that artificial intelligence should be viewed as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for architects, and that its conscious and responsible use can contribute to the development of innovative design ideas and creative solutions. This workshop reflects the Department’s commitment to keeping pace with technological advancements and preparing students to effectively utilize modern digital technologies in ways that strengthen their academic and design skills while meeting future professional demands.
