Al-Mustaqbal University continues to make significant progress in its research journey, as recent updates from international databases revealed the indexing of approximately 27 new scientific papers during the last week of May 2026. This achievement reflects the continuous growth of the University's scientific output and the expanding presence of its researchers in prestigious international journals. This accomplishment comes as part of the University's ongoing efforts to enhance research quality and strengthen its global academic publishing profile. The recent period has witnessed a notable increase in publications in Open Access journals, contributing to wider dissemination of scientific knowledge, greater accessibility of research findings, increased citation opportunities, and enhanced research impact at both regional and international levels. The published studies focused on several globally prioritized research areas, including artificial intelligence and digital transformation, renewable energy and energy efficiency, materials engineering and advanced technologies, modern industrial technologies and environmental sustainability, as well as engineering and medical applications aimed at serving society and supporting sustainable development. Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, emphasized during his meetings with researchers and faculty members the importance of publishing in reputable international journals and focusing on applied research that can be invested in and utilized across industry, technology, and the knowledge economy. Such efforts contribute to strengthening the University's role as a driving force for innovation and development. The University has also recently launched the “Al-Mustaqbal University Council for Artificial Intelligence,” a strategic initiative aimed at supporting digital and knowledge transformation within the institution and promoting the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into education, scientific research, and university administration, in line with its vision of building an innovative and sustainable academic environment. The Council is expected to further support the University's innovation ecosystem by activating the role of science parks, business incubators, innovation accelerators, and technology transfer projects, enabling the transformation of research outputs into practical solutions, technologies, and investable products. These achievements align with Al-Mustaqbal University's vision of strengthening its position as one of Iraq's leading universities in scientific research, innovation, and sustainability through an advanced research environment and expanded international academic collaborations. Such efforts contribute to knowledge production and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
