Al-Mustaqbal University Holds a Consultative Meeting to Enhance Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Scientific Initiatives

The Office of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University held an expanded consultative meeting on June 7, 2026, chaired by Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Academic Supervisor, and attended by directors of departments, scientific divisions, research centers, the Continuing Education Center, and a number of staff members from the relevant units. The meeting was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, President of the University. The meeting was organized as part of the University’s efforts to monitor the implementation of scientific and academic development plans and coordinate upcoming scientific activities and events, contributing to institutional excellence and the achievement of the University’s strategic goals in academic distinction and sustainable development. The meeting opened with an emphasis on the importance of translating the directives of the University Presidency and the decisions of the University Council into clear and measurable action plans, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision for institutional development and the enhancement of academic and scientific performance. Discussions focused on several strategic themes, including the follow-up of University Council decisions, the promotion of artificial intelligence and digital transformation initiatives, the implementation of an AI literacy program for all university personnel, and the unification of specialized training programs under the supervision of the Continuing Education Center. Participants also discussed mechanisms for activating innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship systems, reviewing promising entrepreneurial graduation projects, and forming specialized committees to evaluate, support, and market these projects. In addition, the meeting addressed the operational plans of academic departments and research centers during the summer break and the mechanisms for monitoring their implementation through specific performance indicators. The meeting further emphasized the importance of utilizing the University’s scientific expertise to address developmental challenges in Babylon Province through sustainable scientific studies and solutions. Preparations for the First Al-Mustaqbal University Alumni Forum were also discussed, aiming to strengthen communication with graduates and expand opportunities for training, employment, and professional networking. The meeting concluded with several key recommendations, including the preparation of a unified implementation plan for all university units during the summer break, the adoption of artificial intelligence and digital transformation programs as priorities for professional development, the strengthening of partnerships with public and private sector institutions, and support for initiatives that contribute to community service and sustainable development.
